The Opportunity

Odisha has the NGOs. It has the funders. What's missing is the bridge.

Odisha has thousands of NGOs doing remarkable work, and hundreds of enterprises looking for credible partners to fund. JaBaSu Trust is building that bridge — Odisha's first end-to-end NGO enablement platform, connecting NGOs, CSR funders, and institutional partners across all 30 districts.

And bridges aren't built by platforms alone. They're built by people. That's where you come in.

We're inviting a founding cohort of interns — Community Builders — to help grow the JaBaSu network on both sides of the bridge.

The network you help build in the next six months will still be serving Odisha in ten years. Founding cohorts don't come around twice.

What We Work On

Nine sectors. One ecosystem.

JaBaSu connects NGOs and CSR partners across every major social sector in Odisha. As a Community Builder, you'll help organisations in these areas tell their stories, get onboarded, and find the right funding.

What You'll Do

Two sides of the bridge. One founding cohort.

You'll work closely with the founding team — reaching organisations that have never had a digital presence, and mapping CSR capital to the communities that need it most.

On the NGO side

Outreach, storytelling & onboarding

Reach organisations across Odisha's districts, help them tell their story through our Sector Spotlight series, guide them through onboarding, and verify and enrich our growing database of 270+ NGOs. Some have done extraordinary work for decades without a digital presence. You'll be the person who changes that.

CSR research & relationship mapping

Research companies with CSR mandates in Odisha, map their focus areas to NGOs doing matching work, and help build the relationships that eventually put funding where it's needed. You'll learn how CSR actually works — not from a textbook, but from the inside.

What You'll Gain

Real contribution. Real credential.

This is not a coffee-fetching internship. Your work will be visible — on the platform, in the network, and in the recommendation we write for you.

01

Direct mentorship

Work alongside the founding team on live NGO and CSR conversations — not simulated case studies.

02

Published byline

Contribute to Sector Spotlight and other pieces on jabasu.org under your own name.

03

A living network

Build genuine relationships across Odisha's NGO and corporate sectors before you even graduate.

04

Certificate & letter

Receive a certificate and recommendation letter that describes real contribution — because there will be real contribution to describe.

Who We're Looking For

Curious, reliable people who want Odisha's social sector to work better.

Students and recent graduates in social work, development studies, management, journalism, law — or simply people who communicate well, follow through, and care about the outcome.

Odia fluency is a genuine asset for NGO outreach. The role is remote-friendly, with occasional meetups in Bhubaneswar.

  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Comfort reaching out to organisations and following up
  • Curiosity about how NGOs, CSR, and government actually interact
  • Ability to work independently and keep commitments
  • Willingness to learn Odisha's district and sector landscape
